The first thing that pops into my mind when I heard Dubai is
probably Deserts and scorching sun. I’ve also heard so much about Dubai’s
famous building and architecture especially Burj Khalifa (World’s Tallest Skyscraper)
and Burj Al Arab(The only 7 star hotel in the World), spicy foods and of course
the BIG RED season called “SALE”. When the plane lands, I am full of excitement
and thinking about how will I survive and live here. I was so surprised about
the Dubai airport cab; it was not ordinary t’was luxury car, WOW! JUST WOW! Transferring
here and having a life in Middle East is probably sort of differing the way I
live in the Philippines. I live at Quezon for 16 years and transferred/live at
Manila for almost 7 years. Anyway, moving on. I’ll give you some observations I
have:
1. Friday here is
like weekends in my country, because Friday is free day and Sunday’s are like Mondays. Kinda’ diverse right? Not just
that, some of the countrymen here is walking with their bare foot considering
that the weather and humidity here is so insane, (38 degrees is a normal weather here). I am thinking how they can do that, plus they don’t really use
Umbrella like Filipinos’ does.
2. They call Filipinos' Kabayan.
3. They usually call a guest/customer here as “My
friend”.
e.g. “My friend, what’s your order?”.
4. Kalas means “End of Conversation”.
5. Habibti is for Female as Habibi is for
Male.
6. When having a food delivery, you don’t
really need to indicate your name, they just ask you what building and floor
number you are residing.
7. Cab
flat down rate is just 5 dirhams but the minimum fare is 12 dhs(so you need to pay 12dhs even though your bill is
lower than 12).
8. Nol
card is being used at Metro (Train) Station and Bus.
9. Biryani
and Shawarma is the main food here at Dubai.
10. Most
of the Cab drivers know how to speak Tagalog and even some can sing a Filipino
love song and Bumtarat tarat.
So,
I’ll just pause my Dubai blog for now. Hope each one of you enjoyed reading my
experience and observations here. Have a great day Reader. :)
PS: I’ve been to different places at Asia (Hong Kong, Macau,
China, and Singapore) since I was a little but I can consider that my best flight
is with United Arab Emirates so far. Now I know why they are considered to be
on the Top Ten Airlines in the World. See the details below.

Amongst Dubai's many beautiful and
beyond words attractions
This one is definitely a must see..
"Dubai Miracle Garden"
It has a lot of good things to offer;
aside from its spectacular lights and pretty flowers they made it a point to
add twist from the place. I saw windmills, castles, bikes, huge
popcorn, a car that is inverted and a mini version of Eiffel tower as well.
I may sound cliché but it was a
good spot for a picture addict like me.
From my place at Al Karama we took a
cab to get there, It just took us 45 minutes, we went
there 4 in the afternoon. And if you'll going to ask me on how much we paid to
get there? It's just 50 dirhams and I think it's cheap because
we're 4 so we can divide the said payment. LOL :)
When we finally reached our destination, we goes straight to the ticket
booth for the entrance fee, it cost 30 dirhams, with no long queue. Sometimes it opens from November up to April but
this year it’ll be closed this coming first week of May. This place is so relaxing and so attractive to the
tourists like me. I would definitely go back to this place together with
my Mom cos' I know she'll love this place as I loved it. Enjoy the photos.
PS: I would sincerely give Thanks to my auntie Ms. Marie Claire
Salumbides for this
wonderful and relaxing experience. Aiwa!*
(*Aiwa is a term being used by Arabic’s that means YES, and I usually says
it when I'm happy) Lol. Forgive my randomness guys

So I've been to places this weekend.
Not exactly around the world but around Quezon area.
I've been thinking what to write nor to tell about these photos.
Let me change it, on how it used to be.
I'll just write what I feel right now.
I'm at this moment where I was thinking of ...
"What am I doing? What should I need to do? And what I really want to do"
In the state where my passion is being absurd by what I'm currently doing.
Time, things and circumstances are coming into my way....
How I wish there's a guide book that will definitely suits me, wherein I can track my everyday progress, which I'll be able to know if I'm about to reached the peak or still need to strive more.
Ugh! There's such things coming into my mind right now.
And I don't know if I can form and elaborate every single details of it.
I really, really want to pursue my dream of becoming a Fashion Stylist wherein I need to take necessary training and a course related to it, I've been eyeing SOFA (School of Fashion & the Arts) since I'm 19, after my graduation I promise myself to be on that school after I got my diploma. My mom and I went to my dream school but didn't enroll and she told me it's not the time yet, I was so upset and silently cry after we went there. So I've decided to work while waiting for my parents approval. After the end of my contract at my first job, I asked my brother who is working abroad if he's willing to help me fulfill my dreams in the said school and surprisingly he said "YES" I was in total shocked and I was in tears reading his message that says "Okay, sige. sagot ko tuition mo. Basta tanong mo sa kanila" (Okay, I'll pay for your tuition but first ask our parents) I was so happy that time but didn't tell my parents about it. The next day, I told my mom, she said I need to ask my Dad first. Then told my dad about it but didn't hear his opinion about it because I fell asleep while waiting for his answer while Mom's talking to him. A day after Mom talked to me and said "Parang hindi um-oo daddy mo, tanungin mo ulit ng isa pa" (I think your dad didn't agree, try to ask him once more) I was like.... Uh-ohhhhh. What should I gonna do? I was like, Okaaaaay. Now I know some things are not meant to be, on how I planned to be. I was stuck and I don't know what to think that moment. I'm not mad, just felt unhappy about it. Anyway, I'll end this by "Strive in pursuing your dreams until you got your dream job". And in addition "In God's perfect timing"
